RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY:
•Responsible for planning, coordination and directing the quality assurance program.
•Ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
•Supervise subordinates in effective implementation and operation of the documented quality program.
•Coordinate objectives with the production procedures to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
•Provide training of associates to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities and products.
•Effectively maintain and improve customer relationships though effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
•Lead the quality team and give direction to other departments during our various auditing process; this includes, internal, external and customer required audits.
•Work closely with other department leaders in continuous improvement, 5 S, Lean Manufacturing as well as ISO compliance.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a minimum of 3 years practical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience – including progressive leadership experience.
•Must be team oriented.
•Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively and professionally with peers, customers, upper management, as well as subordinates and other departments.
•Must have the ability to respond to inquiries and complaints from customers, vendors, regulatory agencies and members of the business community and effectively present information to top management.
•Must exhibit strong mathematical skills and the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information.
•Must be able to handle multiple tasks in and effective and efficient manner.
•Must be able to work effectively to communicate directions and training to subordinates and work effectively with production and shipping associates.
•Strong leadership skills; 5 or more years of proven experience in a quality leadership role, preferably in manufacturing.
•Proven experience with ISO certification and continuous improvement.
•Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus.
•Strong computer skills; Excel, Word, PowerPoint |
